The website is information, not therapy
The content on this website is general information about the practice and the kinds of therapy offered. It is not therapy, medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a licensed professional who knows your situation.
Reading the website, sending a message, or requesting a consultation does not make you a client and does not create a therapist-client relationship. That relationship begins only after we have met, you have completed intake paperwork and I have agreed to work with you.
Emergencies
This website and the practice are not emergency services. If you are in danger or thinking about suicide, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
Who the practice serves
Therapy is offered to adults aged 18 and over who are physically located, at the time of each session, in a state where I am licensed: Washington, Florida, Colorado, Idaho, Vermont, Delaware or South Carolina. Therapy services themselves are governed by separate informed consent and practice policies that you will receive before we begin.
Contacting the practice
Email and text messaging are not fully secure. Please keep messages to scheduling and general questions, and do not send detailed clinical information through them. How information you send is handled is described in the Privacy Policy.
Accuracy and changes
I try to keep the website accurate and current, including fees and insurance information, but details can change. The fees, policies and insurance arrangements that apply to you are the ones confirmed in your intake paperwork. I may change the website and these terms at any time.
Intellectual property
The text, images and design of this website belong to Innerstanding Psychotherapy PLLC or are used with permission. You may view and print pages for your own personal use. Please do not copy, republish or use the content commercially without written permission. KA-EMDR is a registered trademark of its owner.
Links to other websites
The website links to outside resources. I do not control those sites and am not responsible for their content or practices.
No warranties and limitation of liability
The website is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Innerstanding Psychotherapy PLLC makes no warranties about the website and is not liable for any loss or harm arising from your use of it or your reliance on its content.
