Frequently asked questions

What can I expect during the free consultation?

The 15-minute phone or video consultation is a chance for us to meet and see whether working together feels like a good fit. You can share what you are looking for support with, and I will explain more about my approach. If it seems right, we schedule your first full intake appointment.

What do you specialize in?

Adults living with trauma, PTSD or complex PTSD, ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity and life changes, and psychedelic integration. My approach often combines EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy, Brainspotting, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy and evidence-based talk therapy.

Do you offer online therapy?

Yes. All sessions are by secure telehealth for adults located in Washington, Florida, Colorado, Idaho, Vermont, Delaware or South Carolina. Many clients choose to meet from home or another private space.

What is EMDR therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing helps the brain reprocess stuck memories and emotional responses. It is widely used for trauma, anxiety and relationship triggers, and can be combined with mindfulness or ketamine-assisted sessions.

What is ketamine-assisted psychotherapy?

Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy uses ketamine, prescribed and supervised by a separate medical provider, as a catalyst for therapeutic processing in a safe, supported setting. Integration sessions with EMDR or mindfulness usually follow to make sense of what came up. Read about KA‑EMDR®.

Do you work with ADHD?

Yes. I work with adults with ADHD on focus, motivation, time management and emotional regulation, including the shame and overwhelm that often come with a late diagnosis. Read about ADHD therapy.

How often will we meet?

Most clients begin with weekly or every-other-week sessions, depending on their goals. Over time we may adjust the schedule as things change.

How much does therapy cost?

$160 per 50-minute session. I am in network with UnitedHealthcare, Optum and First Choice Health, and superbills are available for out-of-network reimbursement with other plans. The 15-minute consultation is free.

How do I get started?

Request a free 15-minute consultation through the Get started page. On the call we talk about what you are hoping to work on and whether my approach fits your goals.
